Differences in alcohol-induced blackout experiences by parent injunctive norms

Sofia Folino, Kyle Obedzinski, Naiya Mody and Vinay Saraiya

The current study uses data from Project TAB (F31AA031607, R21AA031528). Participants were young adults who reported past 3-month risky drinking and experienced ≥1 alcohol-induced blackouts (AIB) (N=175, 52.6% female, 86.9% White, Mage=20.8). Participants wore TAC sensors and completed diary surveys twice a day over two three-weekend data collection bursts (six weekends total). The current study assesses whether parent norms are predictive of experiencing alcohol-induced blackouts among young adults.
