Scaling laws for stagnant-lid exoplanet convection with a buoyant crust
Project Description: 
My research is investigating the interiors of planets that do not have tectonic plates like Earth. Instead, the stagnant lid can grow thick and impact interior properties which can affect the habitability and evolution of those planets. My research is defining new scaling laws for the interiors of those planets using models run on the PSU computing clusters. My research interests lie in astrobiology and planetary science and understanding how a planet's interior affects its habitability is an important part of this research.
