The Goldwater Summer Research Internship Program is a 10-week summer research program for first- and second-year undergraduate students interested in research careers in STEM. Twenty interns will conduct hands-on research in Chemistry, CISE, Engineering, Life Sciences, or Physics and Astronomy at academic and national laboratories across the U.S.
Eligibility:
- College first-year or sophomore student
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Individual research projects may have additional eligibility or experience requirements
Application Components:
Applicants may select up to two research projects for consideration. Because individual projects have different requirements, students should review their selected project descriptions carefully before applying.
Award Benefits:
- $10,500 to cover the internship and related expenses
