The Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowship Mentoring empowers Penn State students to engage deeply in inquiry, discovery, and personal growth. Through collaboration across Penn State’s colleges and campuses, we support students in two key areas:

Undergraduate Research

• Connect students with resources to build foundational research skills
• Guide them through the university’s dynamic research landscape
• Host university-wide events and programs that strengthen and showcase undergraduate research across disciplines

Fellowship Mentoring

• Help students and alumni explore nationally and internationally competitive fellowships
• Provide comprehensive guidance throughout the application process
• Support them in crafting strong, compelling applications that reflect their academic excellence and personal potential
