Our staff and graduate assistants can help you with all stages of the fellowship application process, from discovering opportunities to completing your application for any of our supported fellowships.

Step 1: Sign into Starfish and via the URFM service choose a Fellowship Adviser
Step 2: Sign up for the appropriate time slot. If there is not a time slot that fits your schedule, email urfm@psu.edu with a list of alternate availability.
Step 3: First time advisees must fill out the URFM Paperwork or your appointment will be cancelled.
Alumni via Email
Step 1: Email urfm@psu.edu with a list of availability and aligned with the fellowship you are applying to.
Step 2: You will receive confirmation of an appointment time with link to join via zoom.

Feedback on Materials
URFM staff are happy to give you feedback on application materials like personal statements, research proposals etc. Email urfm@psu.edu with your application materials attached and we will send our feedback within 1 week. If you already have an advising session scheduled where you would like to discuss feedback on your materials, ensure that the office receives your materials 1 week before the scheduled advising session. If you are working with a specific Fellowship Adviser, please indicate that in your email. URFM can give feedback via email up until 2 weeks before a fellowship deadline.
