Overview:
The Lafayette Fellowship offers a fully funded one-year master’s program in France for exceptional American graduates. Sponsored by the French Embassy in the U.S., Villa Albertine, and France Science, this fellowship supports future leaders pursuing degrees in fields such as STEM, the humanities, social sciences, and the arts. Fellows participate in academic coursework at top French institutions while engaging in a French-American Leadership Program featuring mentorship, networking, and cultural exchange.
Eligibility:
- Must be 27 years old or younger
- Must have a bachelor's degree by start of award
- GPA 3.7 or higher
Application Materials:

- Proof of eligibility
- Education history, including university transcripts
- Academic institutions you are applying to and the academic program or degree you intend to pursue in France
- CV
- Cover letter
- Video personal statement
- At least three, but no more than four, recommendation letters, including two academic letters and one extracurricular letter
- French language certificates (with date(s) of issue), only if you are applying for a program taught in French
