Penn State undergraduate Drew Gochnauer, an international politics major in the College of the Liberal Arts, earned a 2025-26 Boren Scholarship, enabling him to study Indonesian and travel to Malang, Indonesia.
Berks students honored at Eastern States Communication Association Convention
Three Penn State Berks students — Samantha Acker, Kimberly Nicholas and Michelle Surine — received accolades and honors for their research presentation at the Eastern States Communication Association (ECA) in Buffalo, New York, from March 27 to 30.
Penn State Schuylkill biology major presents research at Pennsylvania Capitol
Penn State Schuylkill biology major James Bell was one of four students selected to represent Penn State at the annual "Research at the Capitol" event in Harrisburg. Bell presented his research on soil-derived antibiotics and a red-pigmented bacterium to legislators and was also honored with the Roe Fund for a Just and Sustainable Future’s Impact Award for his commitment to sustainability.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre held the Celebration of Scholarship, an annual research fair at the campus, on April 8. The event allows faculty and students to present their current research, scholarship and artistic endeavors.
Student research showcased at Scranton Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition
Over 100 students showcased their research at Penn State Scranton’s 2025 Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition, held at the campus earlier this month. Students from a variety of academic disciplines participated in poster exhibits, panel discussions and presentations and artistic projects, with select faculty and staff judging the submissions and naming the winning projects.
Penn State Schuylkill accounting student builds connections, seizes opportunities
Ava Clauser, an accounting major at Penn State Schuylkill, has balanced academics, leadership roles, and internships while discovering the power of networking. Her involvement in campus life and research, along with multiple internships, helped her build strong connections and gain valuable experience. Now, with a full-time role secured at the firm RKL, Clauser said she is confident in her career path and grateful for the mentorship and opportunities she found at Penn State Schuylkill.
