Hundreds of students participated in the 2025 Undergraduate Exhibition for Research, Inquiry and Creative Activity, both online from April 14-16 and in person at the HUB-Robeson Center at Penn State University Park, on April 16.

The University Libraries and Schreyer Honors College will recognize all three finalists and the juried winner of the 2025 Robert F. Guentter Jr. Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Award on May 8, immediately following their 3 p.m. presentations in Pattee Library and Paterno Library’s Foster Auditorium and on Zoom.

Penn State Schuylkill biology major presents research at Pennsylvania Capitol
Penn State Schuylkill biology major James Bell was one of four students selected to represent Penn State at the annual "Research at the Capitol" event in Harrisburg. Bell presented his research on soil-derived antibiotics and a red-pigmented bacterium to legislators and was also honored with the Roe Fund for a Just and Sustainable Future’s Impact Award for his commitment to sustainability.
Penn State Schuylkill accounting student builds connections, seizes opportunities
Ava Clauser, an accounting major at Penn State Schuylkill, has balanced academics, leadership roles, and internships while discovering the power of networking. Her involvement in campus life and research, along with multiple internships, helped her build strong connections and gain valuable experience. Now, with a full-time role secured at the firm RKL, Clauser said she is confident in her career path and grateful for the mentorship and opportunities she found at Penn State Schuylkill.

On April 14, 23 students at Penn State Schuylkill were recognized for their accomplishments in the field of communication studies throughout the 2024-25 school year at the annual Communication Recognition Ceremony.
Four Penn State undergraduates earn Goldwater Scholarships
Four Penn State undergraduates were named Goldwater Scholars for 2025-26, based on their outstanding academic merit and research experience. Goldwater Scholars are selected for their potential as leaders in the fields of natural sciences, mathematics and engineering.
