Working in teams is often difficult for many engineers, because the teams are impacted by an engineer’s personality, behavior, and experience. Alongside these influences, the design process and the team interactions also impact the results of team projects in both industry and academic settings. The research study analyzes team interactions and behavior patterns, along with individual team member characteristics, to identify factors that influence the relative success or failure of each team’s design process.
