The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect that Executive Order 13769 (the E.O. that limited immigration to the United States from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen) had on the visa process for Muslim international students. By pursuing a study specifically centered around Muslim international students, I will be able to demonstrate non-traditional security measures in immigration and highlight unintended impacts from these security decisions.
