Chaojian He

I am a senior Premedicine student with a minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the main campus. I work as an undergraduate research assistant in the Child Attention and Learning (CAL) lab, studying Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder on campus under the instruction of Dr. Huang-Pollock. I'm following a pre-med track and planning to study in med school in the future. I'm currently involved in independent research, analyzing and comparing the different parent and teacher scales for ADHD.

Current Research Project:
Comparative Analysis of Parent and Teacher Ratings on ADHD Symptoms and Their Impact on Learning Obstacles and Mathematical Achievement in Children Aged 8-12
Project Description:
We are currently working on a project to investigate the difference between parent and teacher scaling in several specific areas of ADHD in children between 8 and 12 years old. I'm also collecting data related to the learning obstacles and cognitive dysfunction from adults by interviewing each individual for approximately 3 hours per session, including asking questions, multiple tasks, computerized tests, completing matrix and vocabulary tasks, etc. The lab is also trying to study how ADHD hinders learning skills, especially mathematics. I organized all the data collected into the statistical software, trying to have a better understanding of how ADHD impedes the possible math scores achieved by children.
