I am a fourth-year English major studying at the Scranton campus. My most recent research project deals with developing a program to implement asynchronous tutoring options in my campus's Learning and Writing Center. Additionally, my other research interests include feminist criticism and genre studies. I plan to attend graduate school beginning next year and hope to one day teach in a higher education setting.
Current Research Project:
Asynchronous Tutoring Opportunities in University Settings: A National and International Perspective
Project Description:
I am currently working on a potential portal for asynchronous tutoring that can be implemented in Penn State Scranton's Learning and Writing Center. I have spent time researching asynchronous tutoring opportunities in university settings both nationally and internationally. Using these studies, I am working to develop a platform for students to further their understanding and better succeed in their core classes. My goal is to create an environment that students feel welcomed and supported in, while also getting the freedom to work independently and on their own time.
