I am a 3rd year Schreyer scholar working with Dr. John Mauro on LionGlass, a patented phosphate-based glass that cuts carbon emissions by 60% compared to traditonal soda-lime glass. I was from a branch campus so I am able to help with getting started in undergraduate research even in your first semesters at UP. Furthermore, I can help with resumes, career fairs, and CVs. Project Description:
For my research, I experiment to find the mechanical properties of LionGlass such as hardness, chemical durability, and crack resistance. These properties are crucial to identify in order to transition the composition from academia to global industry use.
