I am currently a senior and have experience working with vertebrates and invertebrates in both fieldwork and benchtop laboratories. My primary focuses of research have been habitat fragmentation and disease control in wildlife. I plan to attend vet school in the future and am in the process of publishing my first paper on Ectoparasites and Disease Burden in Groundhogs.
Current Research Project:
I am currently working on investigating tick-borne diseases such as Powassan virus and Anaplasmosis in groundhogs. I have a new project coming up focusing on anti-inflammatory treatment of pre-partum dairy cows and calf health.
Project Description:
I evaluate the genetic differences between populations of spotted salamanders across fragmented habitats
