This study was conducted to better understand how soil matric potentials (Ψm) change over time across a catchment area. Time Domain Reflectometry probes were constructed and installed at over 35 sites spread throughout the Susquehanna Shale Hills Critical Zone Observatory to collect soil moisture data at various depths. Ernest soils were the least saturated, whereas mid-slope Weikert soils were the most saturated, which is counterintuitive based on the location of the soils.
