An examination of the impact of college level physical activity classes by race and ethnicity

by Samantha N Shields
Regular physical activity (PA) is associated with physical and psychosocial benefits as well as chronic disease prevention. However, health disparities exist between races/ethnicities. This study examined differences in PA behaviors, social media sharing, and wearable device use by race in college students enrolled in physical education classes. Survey data was analyzed by SPSS software. Differences were seen in the variables over time (1 semester) and by race/ethnicity.
