According to the World Health Organization, there were 216,000 estimated cases of malaria in 2016. The built environment can propagate the spread of malaria. This research uses a web of causation approach and a survey to identify and validate knowledge gaps between the built environment and public health industries. Data is used for providing recommendations on how to leverage decision making during the construction process as a tool to mitigate the spread of malaria.
