Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine current practices used by physical therapist assistant (PTA) education programs to recruit students from under-represented minority groups. The study aims to identify the frequency, variety and effectiveness of current practices. Background/Significance: There is ample evidence that health care disparities within minorities continue to exist in the United States. There are a few studies in the literature that have examined the variety and effectiveness to enhance diversity.
