Refugees from hotspot countries of internal conflicts have re-assimilated themselves mainly into the European Union, the U.S., and Canada, as host countries for asylum and economic opportunities. However, many refugees have become economically marginalized via host country resettlement programs regarding the amount of assistance that is required for them to start a new life. What has manifested now is intense economic marginalization in these host countries through the lack of provisions in country-specific resettlement programs.
