In this study, I investigate the relationship between state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in a nation and income inequality rates. Additionally, I examine the effect of government ideological orientation, government system, and GDP per capita on income inequality rates. The results indicate that SOEs may have an indirect connection to income inequality rates while leftist governments have a positive affect on inequality and parliamentary systems have a negative effect on inequality rates in some contexts.
