The objective is to identify how farmers who didn’t grow up on a farm became farmers, including the challenges endured and how they overcame them. I'll focus on each farmer's motive to farm. I'll expand on topics such as skills, education, internships, and other experiences the farmers had. Findings will help students unfamiliar with agriculture feel comfortable and motivated to explore farming careers with knowledge about how people from non-farming backgrounds became farmers.
