I’ve been researching the Matson Museum of Anthropology's collection of Myanmar textiles. There is an abundance of information on the styles of dress for different Myanmar cultural, but I found none concerning the making process. I've been closely examining examples of weaving, and using them to understand the processes used and choices made during their creation. This poster will illustrate both the weaving process, and the more specific traits of Myanmar weaving.
