Novel Transfer Technique for Metasurfaces to the Tip of an Optical Fiber

Natalie Cummings

We combined lengthier techniques such as nanoskiving and thiol-ene decal transfer to create a more efficient, streamlined process to place metasurfaces onto the tip of an optical fiber.  Our method was characterized by a sacrificial copper layer and the usage of PDMS as a transfer agent.  Most of our tests were performed with bulk gold sheets, but some preliminary results were obtained with actual metasurfaces.
