Researchers investigated whether gender influences an individual’s perception of sexual harassment in relation to the gender of the aggressor (male, female, and non-gender conforming), as well as the severity of harassment (mild, moderate, and severe). Results indicated there was no effect of gender of participant on rating of the vignettes. The hypothesis that females and non-gender conforming groups are more sensitive to sexual harassment scenarios, regardless of the gender of the aggressor, was not supported.
