RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN VAPE USE AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE RISK

Steven Filby

The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between vape/electronic cigarette use and physical activity levels, resting blood pressure/heart-rate/oxygen saturation. Fitbit Charge HR’s, an automated blood pressure cuff and finger pulse oximeter were used to collect the aforementioned data. Results indicate vape/e-cigarette users have lower physical activity levels and have pre-hypertensive blood pressure putting them at higher risk of cardiovascular disease.
