This content analysis investigated the end-of-study interviews of 75 Random AIM study participants to determine the effectiveness of sending motivational messages with or without images on physical activity. The reasons for message effectiveness on changing attitudes and behaviors related to physical activity as well as the association between race/ethnicity were explored. The interviews concluded that sending messages did increase physical activity behavior.
