The PRO Health Lab is seeking motivated and detail-oriented students who are interested in assisting with grant-funded research projects in the areas of public health and prevention science. We work primarily with college students and their families to reduce high-risk drinking behaviors and related consequences. The Research Assistant will receive BBH research credit and hours are flexible (up to 10 hours/week, depending on current lab needs), with the possibility of occasional paid hours. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to pursue graduate school or a career in research or public health. Ideal candidates should be able to commit to the position for at least four semesters.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, literature searches, data analysis, data entry and verification, mobile and wearable device setup and troubleshooting. We will provide training on mobile/wearable devices and data analytic tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one college-level statistics and/or research methods class
- A minimum GPA of 3.2
- Background in Biobehavioral health, psychology, or a health-related field is preferred but not necessary
- Previous research experience or related coursework preferred, but not necessary
